![]() The gameplay in Manhunt 2 is very straightforward: Grab a weapon, hide in the shadows, execute your enemies stealthily. Apparently, Daniel has a connection with the Project and it's up to him to unravel the mysteries behind this manhunt, even if it means killing people in the process. Under Leo's guidance, he is able to recall bits and pieces of his former life but as they unravel more of Daniel's past, they soon discover that they are being pursued by bounty hunters and agents of a mysterious organization called "the Project". Daniel is disoriented and amnesiac, unable to remember anything about himself. All hell breaks loose as the inmates run amuck at the asylum, which allows inmates Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper to escape. ![]() Manhunt 2 begins at the Dixmor Aslyum for The Criminally Insane when one night, the security systems go offline due to a severe lightning storm. The game was released Octofor PSP, Playstation 2, PC, Wii and later ported to PSN. It is the sequel to 2003's Manhunt, though shares no connection to the first game's plot or characters. ![]() If Manhunt 2 officially gets an AO rating it will only see the light of day on PC, never on consoles because Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft would NEVER allow it.Manhunt 2 is a violent, stealth-action game developed and published by Rockstar Games. No console gaming company would ever let a AO game be published for their system and no gaming store would ever sell an AO game for a console. Originally GTA:SA was rated Mature until the Hot Coffee fiasco and the ESRB forced all copies with the Hot Coffee mod as part of the game to be re-rated to AO, which were then immediately PULLED from store shelves and replaced by the censored version. you think Sony does? I mean, your statement WOULD be technically correct even if Manhunt 2 was published as AO on the Wii since it'd be published by Take 2 but in fact the only games on sony systems given AO ratings were Thrill Kill on the PS (which was cancelled) and GTA: San Andreas original version with the Hot Coffee mod (which was pulled from the shelves), so I'm not sure why you'd single out Nintendo here, unless it was just a shot at them.GTA: San Andreas was the ONLY AO console game in history and it was AFTER the fact. Heck, I plan on selling my Wii within the next couple months, lol.Īnd. I know that wouldn't make an adult console, I want it for the sole fact that it would be funny to no end for me, I'm not buying it to play, although I would. The 18 logo, and the stuff it symbolises is a draw for children much more than it is for adults.Īs for IN general Manhunt 2 being adult only? Yeh, I'm OK with that, I think it deserves the rating, theres something a lot more sadistic about it than say, GTA. Manhunt 2, if an 18, would be bought by as many children as adults, infact I'd put money on under 18's buying it more than over 18s, I'd say the same with GTA. In any case, whatever anyone says, the Wii will always be the most kiddy console there is, because its missing a whole sector of gaming which is barely touched on by kids, and because its main sector is a very child-friendly sector. Thats why you don't find many kids online in Age of Empires, these are the type of games which rarely or won't sell on the Wii. Games like simulators and that kind of stuff is what I'd say makes a console adult, thats why you don't find many kids on Forza, thats why you don't find any kids on a PC racing sim. Its not about how many games you have with stuff that is 'adult' content, its why games like Age of Empires 2 won't appear (at least in a serious reiteration, ie, an actual serious RTS as opposed to that tripe on the DS), on the Wii, because the demographic isn't there for the more serious games, even if these games aren't sex, blood, guts, and drugs. I love how people think its games like Manhunt which make a console an adult console.
